The map is in four framed quarters, and features characters and locations from 22 of Roald's fantastic stories. From the classics like 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and 'Matilda' to smaller and lesser known books such as 'Boy: Tales of childhood'.
I was also asked to create a 'Chocolate Timeline' based on an excerpt from 'The Roald Dahl Cookbook' where he describes a history of chocolate making.

Working with Margate based exhibition designers Design Map, we produced two projects for Down House and English Heritage.
Down house is an English Heritage site where Charles Darwin lived for years with his family.
The first project is an illustrated leaflet that visitors can take when exploring and learning in Down House. Illustrations feature the Darwin family, areas and objects related to the house.
The second is an illustrated children's book version of the Mark Twain story 'The Jumping Frog of Calaveras County'. We know that Darwin enjoyed this story so we made a version that would act as a picture book, which you can sit and read while on your tour of Down House.
